Baking Dish
Baking dish is a
metal dish or pan mounted above a heating device and used to cook food
or keep it warm at the table. To accelerate baking, flameproof
baking dish is used. Baking dish is often used at the dining table
or a buffet table to keep various food dishes warm prior to and during
the meal. It is available in a variety of shapes, sizes and styles.
  
Baking dish is made of several materials :
- Stoneware Baking Dish - It is made from stone
fired at a very high temperature. The firing produces non porous
surface and the dish enables even distribution of heat.
- Ceramic Baking Dish - It is a traditional
baking dish first produced by Emile Henry in 1850. It is versatile,
oven and microwave safe.
- Glass Baking Dish - It attracts and hold heat
well. For baking a recipe in the glass baking dish, both temperature
and baking time has to be reduced.
