for making cakes for birthdays and several other occasions. There are
various shaped cake pans.

In 1929 Dewey Wilton started cake decorating school and later in
the 1962 he started making cake pans that were marketed as
Wilton
cake pans.
There are a number of styles of cake pans :
- Magic Line cake pans are commercial cake pans
that the professionals use. Unlike other cake pans, these pans have
straight sides instead of slanted sides.
- Character cake pans are pans with character
themes.
- Engraved cake pans are engraved with certain
designs and names and form the most delightful and meaningful gifts.
- Elmo cake pans form the most popular cake pans
depicting the character of elmo.
- Springform pans are widely used as cake pans
due to its ease of removing baked goods.
