Cheese Grater
Cheese grater is
used to grate cheese into fine pieces of various shapes. This enables
the cheese to be evenly dispersed over the top of food, such as pasta.
The sharp blades, panels and drums used to grate the cheese are mostly
made of stainless steel to keep them from rusting, although plastic
composite graters are also available.
 
Types of Cheese Grater
- Rotary cheese grater consist of a turning
mechanism with a grating surface that is formed into a circular
drum.
- Electric cheese grater is battery operated, and
includes charging base, which can be attached to wall for hanging
grater.
- Microplane cheese grater have tiny razor-like
edges that are formed by photo-etching process. In the process holes
are dissolved with a chemical, leaving edges that finely slice the
cheese instead of tearing or shredding.
- Automatic cheese grater have rechargeable
baterry and is excellent for grating hard and soft cheese. No hand
cranking is necessary.
