Cherry Pitter/Stoner

Cherry pitter is a perfect tool for canning, freezing, baking and dehydrating cherries. The tool has a spring loaded plunger that pierces the cherries and removes the pit. It is usually made of cast aluminum or plastic. Olive can also be pitted using this tool.

Cherry pitter is available in a variety of designs and sizes. Hand plier designed pitter is the most common of the cherry pitter. It has two handles with a blunt shaft and a small holding tray having a hole in the center. The tool is also known as cherry stoner.
