Colanders
Colander is defined
as a perforated bowl, with or without a base or legs, used to strain
foods. Kitchen colanders are used for washing or
draining all kinds of vegetables and fruits, beans or pasta and for
straining solids from stock. They are available in various sizes.
Handles on the sides are useful.
  
Colander Materials
- Stainless Steel Colander - They can strain
pastas also because of good heat conductivity.
- Aluminum Colander - They are durable and have
excellent shine.
- Ceramic Colander - They resemble stoneware and
form an attractive colander.
- Plastic Colander - They are used for gathering
vegetable peelings but are not widely used because of its ability to
catch fire easily.
