Deep Fryer

Deep frying is a cooking method whereby food is submerged in hot oil or fat. It is an extremely fast way to cooking. Specialized deep fryers are used for deep frying any particular food.

Deep fryer uses specific oils only. You can use olive oil, vegetable oil or peanut oil. Butter and margarines should not be used because they will smoke excessively.

Components of Deep Fryer
  • It is equipped with an oil reservoir.
  • Removable lid.
  • High quality replaceable filter to reduce cooking odors.
  • Variable temperature control.
  • Frying basket that should not be filled more than ½ or 2/3. If it is filled more than this then the temperature of the oil will decrease below the optimal frying temperature.
Types of Deep Fryer
  • Electric Deep Fryer : Deep frying has never been so easy. Fryer automatically maintains a proper frying temperature with no controls to set. It includes a scoop that stirs, separates, lifts, drains and serves.

  • Dual Basket Deep Fryer : It makes unit safe to use. In upper position, basket can be loaded with food, covered and lowered into oil to avoid splattering.
