Ladle

Ladle is an essential implement of the kitchen with a shallow bowl shaped container and a long handle. It closely resembles the spoon and is used for serving all sorts of food. It is used to transfer solids or liquids from serving dishes.

  • Ceramic Ladle - It is wonderful for stovetop and is easy to clean.
  • Glass Ladle - It is a beautiful, elegant and functional example of glassware.
  • Stainless Steel Ladle - It allows for safely lean ladle on the hot cookware. It is widely used for sautéing, stirring, serving and more. It is sturdy and dishwasher safe.
  • Plastic Ladle - It is used only for serving or mixing ingredients. It cannot be used on the stovetop or for stirring or sauteing.
  • Wooden Ladle - It is handmade from wood and is widely used for serving. It is mostly used on non-stick cookware.
Types of Ladles
Ladles are commonly used to serve soups, vegetables, gravy, etc. Depending on the food to be served, the size of the ladles vary. The most widely used types of ladles are:
  • Soup Ladles - They are ideal for serving both thick and thin soups. They have a 6 ounce bowl characterized by a rounded edge that doesn't need to be drained.
  • Sauce Ladles - They are mainly used for transferring liquid or semi liquid foods from one receptacle to another. They are characterized by a long handle with a hook at one end and a semi spherical bowl at the other.
  • Wok Ladles - They have a shallow, wide bowl and are suitable for stirring and mixing foods as they cook.
