Nonstick Cookware Products
Nonstick cookwares are cookwares
with some special finishes. All nonstick coatings
contain a slippery material called polytetrafluroethylene.
This slippery material is the reason why food does not stick to the
nonstick cookwares. Teflon is applied to cookware to produce a nonstick
surface that reduces cleaning time and effort because food will not
stick and burned on residue comes off with ordinary dishwashing.
The durability of nonstick cookwares depends on the following
factors:
- Kind of materials used to which the coating is applied. Hard
anodized or cast aluminum or stainless steel is far more durable
than aluminum.
- Thickness of the cookware also has an impact on the durability.
The thicker the cookware better is the heat distribution.
