An omelette pan is similar to a
frying pan. This cookware is especially used to make omelettes, fish
filets and shell steaks. Non stick omelette pans are the most useful as
the food does not stick to the surface and can be removed with ease. The
shapes and size varies depending on the cooking capacity.
Materials used
Omelette pans are made of materials that are heat responsive, including
lined copper or stainless steel with an aluminum or copper bottom plate.
- Stainless Steel Omelette Pan : Light weight and
strong, works well with sauteing because of good heat transfer
property.
- Non Stick Omelette Pan : Special lining
prevents the food from sticking and is easy to clean. Expensive than
other pans.
- Cast Iron Omelette Pan : Strong and even
distributor of heat, can be used on a cooktop and oven, but is prone
to rusting and corrosion.
- Anodized Aluminum Omelette Pan : Provided with
special coating to prevent corrosion.
- Lined Copper Omelette Pan : More expensive than
other pans, even distributor of heat but may react with food
materials.
- Aluminum Omelette Pan : Moderately prices, good
distributor of heat and does not corrode or react with materials.
