Plett Pan

Plett pan is a pan can generally made of cast iron, a pan can making 7 pancakes at a time. It has 7 circular depressions. The pancake is baked only on one side until it gets nicely browned. It makes tender crepe like Swedish pancakes. It is great for serving sour cream and caviar, as well as for hand held little cakes for butter and jam.

Scandinavians begin their day with small pancakes called platts, pletts, or plattar. They may end their day by serving them as dessert topped with lingonberries or fruit preserves. It is made of cast iron for direct heating on the stove top. It is one of the traditional baking pans, also known as bilni pans.

Types of Plett Pan

• Non Stick Plett Pan - These are made with a non stick coating. They make perfectly round thin pancakes and enables easy release of the pancakes.
• Daisy Non Stick Plett Pan - These makes perfectly daisy shaped thin pancakes.
