Slicing Knife

Slicing knife consists of a narrow, long and thin blade with a round or pointed tip. The blade may be flexible or rigid. The more flexible it is, the easier it is to get a thin slice. It is also called slicer and is excellent for slicing meat, sandwiches, fruits and vegetables.

Some slicers have a curving tip to assist in tight spots like between wings and breast of chicken. Ceramic knives make excellent slicers because of their thinness and incredible sharpness.
