Various types of utensils, usually
made of stainless steel, used for cutting, preparing, and eating food
are called cutlery. In general, knives, forks, and spoons used as
tableware are collectively known as cutlery. Grade 18/0 and 18/10 are
two main types of stainless steel used as a material to make stainless
steel cutlery. The '18' refers to 18% chromium, which is added to the
steel mix to give it stainless properties. The '10' refers to nickel,
which adds to those properties and also gives a silvery sheen.
