Steamer pan is a smaller saucepan but has holes in the
bottom of the pan. It holds food and sits in the top of the bigger
saucer pan. It keeps the food away from water. When the water boils only
the steam rises up through the perforated steamer pan and finally the
food is cooked. The pan also consists of a lid to help keep the steam
in.
